Fire Union's Pay Threat
#41
yer lets reduce our hours, oh but in doing that our pay and shifts will change all cos we are all up for shift changes arnt we, as for strike heres a concept instead of threatening strike for once lets sort it out over the table, but this time try to get an increase in our pay instead of giving a grand of it away, if that doesnt work well then its trying to sell it to the members, cos if we are talking points of a percent you aint a hope in hell of the whole of the country galvanising, sad but unfortunately true!!!!

pay

go for a shift allowance, the shifts may change.......but they want them changed anyway (12hr shifts)

at least we will be paid decent money and NO ONE could argue against our claim because evryone gets shift alowances

Medion i completely agree....BUT try getting the FBU to argue that case all you get is its all combined in the formula or we cant go there or they will have a field day with our other conditions, they are two excuses said by reps, the Union isnt really bothered about your wages what they want is members and lots of them why not let the shifts work on overtime just like in other jobs that pay shift allowence, no because that means a smaller work force and less members. we carnt have all the cake and eat it, as much as we would like, if its shift allowence and less hours we will have to work ot to get our wage up because of the loss from lost hours, the Ambos do it and get paid it i believe, i just see the FBU blundering their way in threatening strike straight away what a master plan, and one im sorry to say that will fail.
