Huge worldwide security bug discovered
#1
A very serious security flaw has been discovered and it looks like it's been around for two years without anyone realising it..It's called the Heartbleed bug and affects OpenSSL web and data servers. OpenSSL is an open-source data encryption system - it's basically supposed to secure your personal data held on various websites and databases. According to the experts, it's probably affected over 60% of the worlds 'secure' websites.
It's been fixed now, but it is highly recommended that all users of social media, banking and email systems (which is probably 99% of us) change their passwords as soon as possible.

Thing is..... unless hackers knew about this two years ago then there's probably not much to worry about.
It's only just been discovered by a company that purposely tries to find these holes and the patches for it have gone out overnight.

UK Fire?? We're patched and for most of the part, users ain't using SSL to log on.
The forum software uses an encryption algorithm that is totally separate to SSL so it doesn't really affect us.
