It’s wrong
So wrong

They will wait until a retired firefighter is getting the same annual pension as a firefighter’s annual salary

And that can’t be far off

and then freeze the pension
Equality
Everybody gets fekk all then

I'm not that far off from what my youngster is earning as a firey with six years in. About £350/£400 when she takes into account detached duties and the odd o/t shift. Take away the d/d's and o/t the baseline is well under £300 more than I get. I never did o/t when it came after the last dispute, but it seems the norm now, and I don't blame the youngsters for trying to grab every penny to keep their head above water. Same with D/D payments, seems the norm these day's and pumps up the basic wage.

Bottom line is, I'm already better off than she and her peers are when you take in to account that I don't have to pay around £120 per month to travel to work and all the other cost's with putting a high mileage on the car getting to work.

Oh, and I'm sitting here in me own house, mortgage free, saving me a wee fortune every month, something the youngsters can only dream about.Rolleyes

Aye, it's wrong.
Now freed from the asylum.
