Quote:Grassroots FBU was not an organisation but merely a loose grouping of activists

Im guessing round about 55,000 activists now................TongueTongueTongueTongueTongueTongue

Methinks they're shitting themselves, and trying to stave off the inevitable....................

PS: thanks to grassroots for standing up, being counted, and not giving away our LSI - without it being asked for.

If those opposing Grassroots

could find a spine, they'd reinsert it, for once be able to walk straight, and p*ss off into the sunset - and good riddance.

A suggestion that Grassroots form a breakaway union came from me in the darkest days of the dispute. It was openly discussed on this site and dismissed by a huge majority of posters most of whom must have sympathised with the aims of Grassroots, which is to work for change from within the structure of the FBU.

Ah yes, I remember it well Slender. And you're absolutely correct mate.
The consensus was indeed to 'fight from within'

I'd see it as a humiliating admission of defeat if a 'breakaway' FBU was formed; its our Union and we want it back.

GRASSROOTS........The name might disappear, but the thoughts and reasons for them won't.
Gilchrist, Winters and Mcghee however, will disappear without a thought.
