Thumbs up for the NHS
#1
Posting from Stobhill hospital north side of Glasgow. Went to see my GP three weeks ago today, two days later went to see a consultant. Today recovering from fantastic treatment. Everyone from the nurses, to the consultant have been brilliant. I will take a couple of weeks to get back on my feet. I just thought amongst all the gloom and doom regarding our NHS, it’s good to know when you really need them, they are there for us. [Image: 1f44d.png]
We all have opinions, thank god they are not all the same, or there would be no debate.

Glad to hear you are on the road to recovery.

NHS national orthopaedic hospital repaired my left hip in January. Fantastic treatment as well
Also fantastic drugs! Gave me ketamine at one point for pain. WOW

Just back from sailsbury hospital where the father in law is in with a dicky ticker.
Hard working staff, underpaid but do appreciate relatives bringing in enough cake to share

I hope your father in law gets better CJ.
My wife brought some choccy biscuits tonight.

On another topic, I went to Salisbury last year for three nights, and loved the town. Not one for religious buildings but the cathedral was something special. Take care CJ.

Doing ok thanks. Had the cartilage repaired, ball reshaped and all the arthritis ground away. No pain killers sine 2 weeks after the surgery. Hardest bit is getting used to walking properly again. With the hip working properly my back other hip and knee keep complaining because they have been compensating for 2 ½ years. They did warn me that it could take 9-12 months for a full recovery.

Yes I had heard that people travel from all over the world, especially Russia, to view the spire

Yes it has the tallest spire of any church in Europe. The type of thing two Russian tourists with a fondness for Novochok would be attracted to. Smile
