Laughable, particularly those awarded a medal for holding a senior rank whilst still breathing. I shall give the lower ranks the benefit of the doubt.

I reckon Sir Jacob Rees Mogg has to be the best yet.

I have never heard so much drivel spoken by one man in my whole life. Look at what James O’Brien did with him six years ago, he basically ripped him apart, exposed him for what he is, a smarmy arrogant twit, with a posh voice which helps to disguise the utter dire tripe that emanates from his mouth.

The whole honours system lost my respect many years ago. We have people in our country who do amazing things helping others, and they are seldom recognised for what they do. But if you have a few bob, and are famous it’s a stick on that you will receive one of the outdated imperialistic titles. I mean knight commander of an empire that does not exist any more, and from a shameful period in our history were we basically looted other countries. Time for a change of name, and a change in who receives awards.
We all have opinions, thank god they are not all the same, or there would be no debate.

Sometimes good guys do get them Ns.
But sadly when idiots like Mogg, who have done nothing for anyone but themselves are knighted it demeans the whole honours list.

As a matter of fact most who receive these awards are ordinary people who have helped others, and probably deserve their award. But the media are only interested in celebrities, politicians, and the rich people who receive them, and the vast majority are not reported in national news.

No, most people on the UK Honours List are not considered "rich and famous"; while some well-known figures do receive honours, the majority are ordinary people recognized for significant contributions to their communities, often through volunteer work or other forms of dedicated service, not necessarily high-profile careers.
