If the ticket for AGS

could be won on arrogance and talking down ones nose at people, Magoo would get in on a landslide.

Not sure if your picture could be construed as canvassing Butch. But I'm certain that this statement from Fordham could.

"When he [Andy Gilchrist] is due for re-election he will do so with my full support. The future of our Union and our service will be as much determined by the result of that election and other National elections as it will be by the negotiated outcome to the dispute and the new Government framework."

Coddy, I wrote a letter to Gilchrist last week asking for dates for their elections as a condition of complaining to the Certification Officer.

I got a reply which said, "Andy is out of the office currently but I will ensure your correspondence is passed to him as soon as possible on his return."

If I dont get a reply soon I`m told the complaint will be accepted by the Officer for investigation. It makes a mockery of democracy that the union have to be forced through legislation to hold elections.

Democratic union my a*se.

Today I recieved a reply from Andy Gilchrist about my complaint regarding the three EC members who are currently out of office and unelected.

Dear Bro. Evans,

I note the contents of your letter and I have instigated a full investigation. It is anticipated that this will be completed within 14 days at which time I will write to you again.

Please note that if at any stage you have a complaint in respect of this matter, either generally or in relation to the conduct of an official, the procedures are set out in Rule 24. I would ask you to ensure that those established procedures are followed as required by Rule.

Yours fraternally,
Andy Gilchrist

Sorry Andy, not good enough.

All that is needed are dates for the elections. The letter goes on to the Certification Officer and he will decide if Handscomb and Ford are added to the already accepted complaint against Micallef.

Rule 24 takes a complaint against an official through the Regional Committee. Region 5 doesn`t have a Regional Committee only a treasurer.
