I agree with the uniform bit BamBam. It was the boastful bit I couldn't let by. People catch colds in a climate like ours. I admire your enthusiasm.
Ban UTF
UTF is a quizling.
The correct spelling is a banned word
Ban flatscreen first though.

Why so territorial over it ? - I'll tell you why - despite all the crap we've put up with since the strike - a lot of poeple were still "proud" to be firemen.
Now that any man and his dog can go to work wearing our uniform , the management have even managed to take that small vestige of pride away from those of us who had a minute amount of it left. ( it just pisses me off to see a 20 stone woman with an **** like a burst couch, walking around wearing Station Officers' uniform and rank markings ! ) - non pc I know !
Can you imagine an army regiment letting it's civilian staff go to work wearing their uniform and rank markings ?
Paras, marines etc.. giving their berets to civvie staff ? - I reasile this analogy is a bit ott - but you should get my drift.

My actions are on the fireground, theres were i like to be measured, the fire service is not what it once was, thats over, the new FRS employs differing people to differing roles, the one common denominator is that we are all employed by the fire service, in fact some would say the civvies now take more pride in it.

When I filled in the on line form and read the comments from others it seemed most were in favour of a blue shirt and a dress uniform to look smart at official occasions. Does anyone know what happened about this? Is it still ongoing?

The new Fire Kit and National uniform are attached.

I think I might look good in that black and white skirt. Are the buoyancy aids in the front of her shirt ?
