Injury to watch manager Andy Adams at Greenock incident
#21
Realy sad a firefighter is badly injured.
I receive an email from Joe Harkins who has done more for retired and serving men than anyone I know. This email was sent to hundreds of retired members today.
I asked for Joes permission to post this email on here.
The mods and other posters have been sent Jos acceptance that I can post.

All I was attempting to do was to keep posters who had sent Andy an email wishing him all the best, up to date.

But some on here state that they are more concerned with etiquette.
I reckon it's plain to see what those posters real intentions are.

Prior to noname posting brumble had pointed out that there were phone numbers at the bottom of the email that Joe Harkins had sent. I pointed out to brumble that this email had been posted to hundreds and that this information was already out. But I asked brumble to do as he seen fit. Brumble I assume removed the email and phone numbers.

Realy sad that this thread of all threads has deteriorated into this.
We all have opinions, thank god they are not all the same, or there would be no debate.

I am sure he will be glad of your advice.
The numbers posted by Joe are readily available on the sfrs website,
And are numbers provided by a publicly funded organisation.
Not personel in anyway.

It's courteous and discreet to make such suggesting by pm not publicly.
I would send you a copy of joes agreement for me to post by pm.
But I see you don't take pms from myself.

However I wil send a copy of joes confirmation to the mods for their perusal.

Searched again bill, still canny find those numbers on the sfrs website. Publicly funded or not. Please show me, im obviously looking in the wrong place.

firescotland.gov.uk "About us", "Our heritage" and follow the link to Retired Employees Association, then "Contact us" and there is Joe Harkins address at Hamilton, email and telephone number, just as Bill has said, open to all and easily found. Warcloud

If anyone who has not sent a message of support for Andy and still wishes to do so please send them to Joe Harkins, Joe will print them and take them to Andy in hospital.
He has read all previous messages several times now, and they have helped Andy.

Joes email is. Joe.Harkins@firescotland.gov.uk
