This means that the delegates who represent the membership of the union backed the EC and negotiators stance on negotiations and the way they are handling the whole issue of pensions and backed the strategy being followed.

It appears MW,AD and the EC are not out of touch with the membership after all as some on here were suggesting. Smile

Must have been back slaps all around just like 2006.

didn't see back slaps but it was a good day Ron for the leadership to get such an endorsement by the delegates and the membership of their stance on pensions.

Did you manage to see MW,AD and the EC leading the rest of the blind down the garden path?

Must be a sight to behold, 2006 all over again.

I saw conference listen to the debate and then vote massively in favour of the EC paper.

The delegates from all over the uk representing the membership listened to what was in front of them and also they had discussed the issue with their brigade committees and their members and then got right behind the leadership.

Must be annoying for those who have been telling us how the leadership were out of touch.

Good day for the FBU Smile

Can someone sum up today. Endorsing the ec paper means what we will ballot for a strike over pensions and pay or not?

WHAT WAS IN FRONT OF THEM.......we have it there in a nutshell, from his own lips!

You cant form a position without knowing all the facts.
So Conference can only vote on what is in front of them.

When JFK was once asked if the electorate no longer trusted politicians his reply was "no you have got it the wrong way round. We no longer trust them"
