25 year badge.

I told my branch rep my 25 year service was just around the corner, One week after the event I received A black memorial badge and £25 of vouchers in the post at my home address. On return to work the following day he presented me with my 25 year badge. Maybe you need to tell your rep so that he/she could order it in time. other people I know have not requested their badge and just assumed it will just turn up.

I think that after 25 years of membership and contributing to the FBU that they should know that your "badge" is due. In this age of computers how hard can a program that brings up peoples 25 years of membership be?

I worked out that with contributions, and minimal interest rates I could have purchased a reasonable family sized car in lieu of being an FBU member after 25 years. After 28 yrs, I realised it would have probably represented me better as well, and certainly wouldn't have lied to me twice, and let the membership down more than once as well.
