Jenners is a rabbit warren of a place. Sadly I am not surprised at what has happened, but I am saddened none the less.

We can only hope that they all make full recovery’s.
Best wishes to each and every one of them, and their families.
We all have opinions, thank god they are not all the same, or there would be no debate.

And talking of the mental side noisy, that may affect others who attended this incident, or who were close to those injured. I know what it’s like to be badly injured, and I also know what it’s like for a mate to be injured. But for most time is a great healer, hopefully they and others will all get through this, and no doubt with the support they will need.

Firefighter Barry Martin suffered serious injuries while responding to a building fire in Edinburgh yesterday.
Barry, 38, remains in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and is in a critical condition. Four other firefighters were also transported to hospital and have subsequently been discharged.
Interim Chief Officer Ross Haggart said: “Our thoughts are very much with Barry and his family, and indeed with all of our colleagues who were injured in responding to this incident.
“We continue to provide all possible support to our colleagues and their families, as well as all staff involved.
“We are liaising with appropriate partners to ensure a full and thorough investigation is undertaken into this incident.”

Hopefully Bill, firefighters today have more support to deal with the mental aspect of the job, than we did when we joined and in the early days of our careers. One of the things in engineering and construction, is the acceptance that men suffer with mental health problems and they’re being encouraged to seek assistance either in the workplace or from medical professionals. Some companies are actually sending their managers on training courses, either to help individuals directly or give guidance on where to get the best help, which is a massive step forward.

I would hope so noisy, my support amounted an SDO visiting me in hospital asking me when I would be back at work. Changed days now though.
